Not a portfolio. Not a fund. One business β owned and operated for the long term. If you've spent years building something great and wonder what comes next, I'd like to have that conversation.
Most of what lands in a business owner's inbox sounds the same. Someone promising "a seamless exit," throwing around multiples, and pushing you toward a decision you're not ready to make. That's not what I do.
I started my career in a technology startup, where I learned how businesses actually operate from the inside. I later moved into private equity, where I sat across from founders navigating some of the biggest decisions of their lives. The transitions that went well had one thing in common: the founder and the buyer saw eye-to-eye and took the time to build a real relationship before anything was signed. That's the standard I hold myself to.
I'm an individual, not a fund. My goal is to find one well-run business in a focused service vertical, partner with the owner, and operate it with the same care the original owner put in. Long-term stewardship, not a short-term hold.
Andrew Knoell Β· Founder, Turtle Rock Co.
I've spent my career across technology, sales, and finance. In sales, I learned to be patient and to genuinely discover what a customer needs before offering anything. In tech, I learned how fragile operations can be and how much care it takes to navigate operational challenges without making things worse. In deal work, I sat across from founders at pivotal moments and learned to listen for what actually mattered to them. Sometimes it was getting the most money. Sometimes it was protecting their brand. Often it was the well-being and security of their employees. Almost always, it was a combination of all three.
Now I'm on the other side of that table. Not as an advisor. As a buyer who intends to be the operator. Someone who will show up every day and take the business forward the way you'd want it taken.
Ten or more years in operation, with a track record that speaks for itself. Longevity signals reputation.
Independently owned, without institutional capital or outside investors. A real business with a real story behind it.
Defensible revenue, recurring demand, and honest financials. We don't need explosive growth. We need something real and durable.
Customers who come back. Relationships built on trust and service, not contracts and price pressure.
We operate nationally and welcome conversations from business owners across the country.
Every conversation is completely private. We handle the transition with discretion and care, for you, your employees, and your customers.
Every business has a story, and the best ones are never straightforward. I genuinely want to hear yours: what you built, the turns you didn't see coming, and what makes it different. That's the conversation I look forward to most.
The right partnership only works if it's good for both sides. I want to understand what you're looking for, not just in a deal, but in what comes next for you and your business. If the timing isn't right, there's no pressure. We'll be honest with each other, and if it's not a fit, I'll tell you that too.
I believe in keeping things open. You'll know exactly where we stand, what we can offer, and how a transition would work before you ever have to commit to anything.
Whether you stay involved for a year or hand over the keys on day one, we'll create a transition plan that works for you, your team, and your customers.
If you're a business owner thinking about what comes next β even just starting to think about it β I'd genuinely love to hear from you.
There's no obligation in reaching out. I'm not going to pressure you into anything. The best acquisitions start with trust, and trust starts with a conversation.
If you'd prefer to just send a note directly, my inbox is always open.
